Does your theater-loving kiddo have plans this summer? Come on parents! “Follow Your Heart” and enroll them in the 2018 Musical Theatre Academy at Theatre Three. This year’s camp will run July 9-29 and targets teenagers ages 13-18. Performance dates are July 26-29 in the downstairs Theatre Too space.

This is the fourth year of the Musical Theatre Academy at Theatre Three. Students go through a full professional rehearsal experience. They begin with auditions which include singing, choreography and cold readings. Next, they will begin learning the music. Once music is learned, choreography will be rehearsed for those numbers. The show is also simultaneously blocked. Once all of the pieces are learned the elements are put them together and full runs being. The academy concludes with a weekend of five performances for the paying public. Students work with a professional director, music director, choreographer, costumer, and stage manager.

Auditions Information for Urinetown: Sunday, July 8 - 6:00 to 8:30 in T2 Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song that shows your vocal range. There will be cold readings. No dance audition.
